The Grantham Lions club visited Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough to see what a great job they are doing helping care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

The Rainbows Children’s hospice is dedicated to meeting the needs of the children and young people from the East Midlands who come to the Hospice, some of whom are from the Grantham area.

They do a fantastic job and help give the children and young people a place to play, laugh and love life.

Rainbows is just not about the children and young people it’s a place where they and their families are cared for and supported

The Grantham Lions have been keen to help support the hospice, and the great team behind the scenes for all the work they do not just caring for those who need, but getting out and helping to raise the funds needed to run/improve the facility and services.

We are very lucky that one of the community fund raisers Jess Dixon came out with us in December to experience one of our fund raising activities “the Grantham Lions Santa sleigh”. The Grantham Lions decided that The Rainbows Children’s hospice should receive the funds from that evening’s fundraising, and where delighted to presented Jess with a cheque for the hospice.

The Grantham Lions have pledge to continue supporting the Hospice and have organised a Charity Barn dance in support of the Rainbows Children’s Hospice and St Barnabas Hospice here in Grantham.

The barn dance is happening on Saturday 10th June 2017 with tickets being only £20 including a hog roast, strawberries and cream with the local Higgledy Piggledy Band helping you dance the  night away , don’t forget to grab your partner and have a great evening out whilst helping to support these great causes.
